Although not listed among the 12 food allergens, a yeast allergy or intolerance is actually quite common, so much so that my fiancée is unable to eat things like mushrooms, most breads, some cheeses, pre-bought stocks (Kallo yeast-free stock cubes are a lifesaver!), and even some cereal products. This can make eating out immensely tricky and often the safest bet is to resort to home-cooked meals. The problem is a lot of dishes are made with things like alcohol, soy sauce and vinegars. That's why I've created a bunch of sweet and savoury recipes which are free from yeast and packed full of flavour.
